"Just For You" Christmas Gift Card holder

Today's challenge at Cardz TV was to make a Christmas gift card holder!
I have to admit, this was NOT my original submission, however, I committed the ultimate crafting sin and put a bottle of water on my craft table with the top loose and before I knew it I must've knocked it over! I didn't even realize it at first until I felt water running down onto my legs that was coming from underneath my laptop!!! I was devastated because not only was my project laying on the table, but many other things that I have been working on "perfecting" and now I am going to have to start all over again.  What bothers me the most was that my niece's drawings were sitting in a pool of water and she made them for me when I moved out of state so I would always think of her! :( I couldn't even try to dry them out because the ink ran and the picture look like one big muddy puddle! :( Well I guess there's no use crying over spilled water sooooo...onto bigger and better things!

This gift card holder was made with a stamp I dug out of my archives by Sunday International called Anthony and Burt 3 (ABFSO3). I colored it with Copics and Wink of Stella then applied Glossy Accents to the frog and bee's eyes. The background paper is from last year's SU! Designer Series paper line called Season of Style. I used the Pull Strip die from Technique Tuesday to hide the gift card! I love this die because it is a unique way for someone to open their gift card....just pull the tab! :) And last but NEVER least, my sentiment is from the Cardz TV stamp set called "Christmas Critter Captions"! This set is absolutely adorable and is so fun to use!!!

Thank you all so much for stopping by! Please head over to the Cardz TV blog and check out the other designer's AMAZING projects. They are very inspiring and can give you some great gift card ideas for Christmas which is right around the corner!!!

Have a wonderful day!!!

Cardz TV Challenge: "All in our places" Thanksgiving table place cards

Welcome to another Cardz TV 3D Challenge Day!
Today we were asked by Mary to create 3D Thanksgiving
table place cards! I will be replicating this file nine more times
so my sister, her family, and mine all have these at our place
setting for Thanksgiving! I think the kids will really love them!
I am most likely going to add their names on the card as well
after I get a new printer because mine is not working
properly! :( It's always something! HAHA!

Fun Folds Challenge

About two weeks ago my sister and her family invited us to stay in their beach house with them for a few days! It was a GREAT mini vacation and time spent with my family that I will always cherish! So fortunately for me this challenge inspired me to create a card which is going to serve two purposes: a Halloween card and a "thank you"! :) Wonder if she'll feel like she is getting ripped off or not? haha!

I have seen this card go by two different names: slider die cut card and slider tag card. The Paper Cut sells a 10 pk in various colors for $5.99 or you can make your own by watching You Tube.

I apologize for the shadows. We have had some rain in the evenings and I work during the day so I was unable to take outside photos. Plus the little vampire is on an Adhesive Spring, AKA
"Action Wobble", so the shadows were hard to avoid! :) I must say my Sizzix Eclips NEVER ceases to amaze me! I could not believe the precision cutting it did on the little vampire's fangs and the bats...tiny feet and ALL!!! :)
Supplies Used:
SU! Real Red and Whisper White cardstock
SU! Blush Blossom cardstock (retired)
SU! Pumpkin Pie cardstock
CTMH Adhesive Springs
Miss Kate Cuttables Vampire SVG file

Please stop by Cardz TV to see the AWESOME projects that the other Design Team Members created for you as well as a chance to win a free set if stamps!
Have a FANGtastic day!!! ;)

Tag...you're it! :)

I went to my local Scrapbook store two days ago and Betty, the store owner of Betty's Creative Studio in NC, offered to let me play with the Dylusions inks that some of the ladies were playing with in the store that day! Needless to say, I was thrilled with them so I purchased three of my favorite colors to take home with me and try out! I now realize all three colors I purchased are on the darker side (LOL) so I am going to go back and get some yellow and orange (I should've listened to Betty the first time!!! lol).  I'm just afraid I will HAVE to walk away with ALL 24 colors if you know what I mean! LOL I am kind of an all or nothing kind of girl so I can't believe I didn't scoop them all up the first time!

Well anyway...I am happy with the way this tag turned out so I  thought I would share it with all of you today!  I hope you all like it too!

New stamp set :)

As some of you may already know, I have recently moved from PA to NC!  I FINALLY got to go to one of the local stamping/scrapbooking stores and fell in love with it! The ladies were very friendly and so helpful and I am really looking forward to taking a Karen Burniston class there this fall! Betty's Creative Studio carried so many NEW products that I always have to go online to order so I was absolutely star struck! LOL
While there, I picked up one of Sherri Baldy's My Besties Stamp sets (which I have only ever seen online as "digistamps") and tried to mimic one of the samples they had already made at the store because I thought it was so cute! It used washi tape, which has become one of my latest obsessions, so their sample caught my eye right away...and to top it off---my favorite---black and white polka dots!

Recipe:
Sherri Baldy My-Besties Stamps MYB-0111
SU! Brights candy dots
SU! Blendabilities
SU! Island Indigo, Whisper White, and Summer Starfruit cardstock
Core'dinations Midnight canvas textured cardstock
K&Co. Primary Designer paper
Wink of Stella Gl. Dark Pink 027
Sakura white Jelly Roll pen
Hero Arts (pink) Gemstones
Ranger Glossy Accents (on eyes and pink clothing patches)
MCT Lost at Sea Coordinating Porthole Die
B&W polka dots washi tape (Brand name unknown-from Michaels)

As you can see, I have a LONG way to go before mastering the blendabilities technique! haha!
I love playing with them so much though that I'm just going to keep watching videos and trying!

Hope you are all having a nice day!
It's kind of gloomy here...saw a few sprinkles of rain, but hoping it doesn't last long!

Have a crafty day!

Another year older...

Hello everyone...hope you are all having a wonderful day! I have decided to make an honest attempt at writing more posts on my blog, so here is what I have to share with you today:

Recipe:

This was one of three attempt at using the *NEW* SU! Blendabilities markers and I will say I REALLY like them!!! There isn't much room for error as long as you make sure you are using a dye ink such as the Memento Ink pad I mentioned in the above recipe so that the markers don't bleed.  There are also ALOT of great You Tube videos out there to show you how to use them!  Three coordinating colors come in each set so it takes the guesswork out of blending the colors! :)

Hope you enjoyed today's project...
 Happy crafting!

I can hardly believe this is our last Cardz TV DT submission already! I have learned so much from these ladies and I am so thankful to have been a part of Mary's great TEAM! With that said, I felt that the *NEW* "Many Thanks" stamp set would be the most appropriate to use! :) For my final DT submission I created a 3D post it note holder and mini easel card with drawer to serve as teacher gifts!

A few of my favorite things!

Today I made a card using products from three of my FAVORITE companies! I wanted to see if I could come up with a card using them all together and here is what I made:

The flowers are from the stamp set Flower Shop by Stampin' Up!, as well as the Strawberry Slush cardstock; the butterfly die (Pretty Butterflies and Dragonfly Dies) and the butterfly dots stamp (Live, Laugh, Love, and Be Happy) coordinate together and are from My Creative Time, and the sentiment is from Cardz TV's *NEW* Many Thanks stamp set!

I really hope you enjoy today's project!
HAVE A GREAT DAY everyone!

3D Wedding Challenge

This card was made for my fiancé's cousin whose wedding is this
September! :) As you can see her colors are tan and pink! I know that it is a little "plain looking", especially on the front, but I was hoping that in this case, less is more. I always think simplicity with weddings is very beautiful! In the case of this card,
I hope the happy couple does too! HAHA!

My latest purchase :)

I am soooo happy to say I was finally able to get the Cricut Explore!!! :)
Cricut has REALLY outdone themselves with this machine...it is so much more advanced than the others and I am thrilled with it so far! It's as if they took the best features of all of their machines and the gypsy linked cartridges and combined them into one and then added much, much more! It has been so easy to use...it walks you through each and every step of making one of their predesigned projects and makes it simple to link your gypsy cartridges and other Cricut cartridges to the Design space. I made my first card and it was amazing to watch how the machine works. It scores, cuts, and writes so easily and precisely without having to stop and change them because it has TWO holders! You can even cut out your own handwriting which is comparable to the Brother Scan 'N Cut!!!
The machine is also very quiet which is a plus if you are a late night crafter with a sleeping baby like I am! haha! :) The only downside that I have found is that is only connects to Design Space with Wifi. I go to many crops that have no internet access available so that would make it impossible to use at those places.
Hope this helps any of you who are on the fence about
buying one decide whether or not it is right for you!
HAPPY CRAFTING!

stands 4" high. On the front of the cart I used Mary's "Happy Father's Day" sentiment and for
the "license plate" I used her "Men at Work" sentiment from the same stamp set! LOL!

They showcased the set throughout the movie and it was quickly added to the top of my have to have list! LOL! So you can imagine how thrilled I was when they gave us each our very own set! Sunday...play day!

Fun day making ten Halloween cards for family and friends!
I did an assembly line so it went fairly fast!

Lots of FANTASTIC products used for this project!!!

INGREDIENTS:

I used the LDRS Halloween Creative Build-a-Card Punkin Die for the card base and the LDRS Wicked 6x6 paper pad for the top layer. I also the LDRS Wicked 6x6 cardstock pad to make the Paper Sweeties dolls outfits. The 'Got Candy?' sentiment and outfit were made using the Paper Sweeties 'Too Cute to Spook' stamp set. I then added a creamsicle flower sequin for some sparkle! The sequins are just beautiful in person! The bat die came from My Creative Time 'Spooky Time' stamp and die kit. Last but not least I tied a bow at the fold of the card using Paper Sweeties licorice seam binding.

HAVE A SAFE AND HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
